Article, the employee shall provide four weeks notice of such return, and
shall be returned to his or her former shift. Additionally, that employee
shall be offered first preference on the next available vacancy at his or her
former work location.
Notice of less than four weeks shall be deemed acceptable for employees
receiving less notice of the termination of their probationary appointment.
§12.2 Notice shall be provided to the CSEA Local President at the time
any probationary employee has been advised that he or she is to be
terminated from State service.
Article 13
Payroll
§13.1 Computation on 10-day Basis
Employees’ salary payments will continue to be calculated on an
appropriate 10 working day basis.
§13.2 Delivery of Salary Payments
(a) Absent unavoidable circumstances, employees paid on the Institution
Payroll will have their salary payments delivered no later than the Thursday
following the end of the payroll period.
(b) Every effort will be made to ensure that an employee who has been
absent without authorization for periods of four days or less shall receive
his or her salary payment promptly upon completion of working a period
equal to that for which the check was drawn.
(c) All employees hired after ratification of this Agreement shall receive
salary payments through electronic funds transfer.
§13.3 Payment of Overtime
Payment of overtime compensation shall be made at the close of the
second bi-weekly payroll period following the period during which the
overtime was earned.
§13.4 Less than full-time employees, who work additional hours beyond
their regular schedule in a pay period, shall be paid for those additional
hours worked by the close of the second bi-weekly pay period following
the period during which the additional hours were worked.
§13.5 Deductions for Employee Credit Unions
(a) The State will continue to deduct from the salary of an employee an
amount authorized in writing by such employee, with the minimum and
